A Month In Pictures

My Last Blog Post

That’s right, readers, this is my last post. I’m not sad about it. It’s time to close this chapter as writing here hasn’t quite felt right in awhile. It’s fitting that it’s New Years Day. Over these last few years and months, social media has taken more of a back seat , and the quality time I spend with friends and family has taken center stage. I no longer reach for my phone to capture every second but instead savor the moment without distraction. These days, I want less of my life broadcasted to the public and with that, it’s time to let this blog go. So many memories have been recorded here – mainly wedding planning and my journey into and through law school. I’ll treasure looking back on these posts someday. I won’t give up writing completely though, but instead of publishing it in a public place, my writing and experiences will be private in a good old fashioned journal.

As I say goodbye to 2017, there is so much to be thankful for. The thing that sticks out the most for me is that I worked A LOT this year. I’ve taken work home nearly every weekend and worked until 7 or 8 p.m. frequently. But, I feel so much more confident in my management position and still feel like I’m growing every day. I’ve spent another glorious year with my husband, making plans and hoping for great things in 2018. I’ve traveled all over the US to see friends and family. I’ve let go of some of my biggest worries and given them to God. He came through this year in ways I could not even imagine! I want to spend more time in prayer and more time in the Bible. I also miss volunteering. I still volunteer in the children’s ministry at church a couple times a month, but I miss giving more. Maybe one day.

I have huge hopes for 2018. It promises to be the best year yet, and I’m so excited to see what this year brings.

Thank you for following me for almost 10 years as I chronicled bits and pieces of my life here. Maybe one day I’ll come back, but if not, I’ve enjoyed this chapter of my life. Thanks for being a part of it.
