I’m officially done with law school applications!
The grand total sent: 19 (plus maybe one more )
Amount spent: oh, probably around $600. As I said previously, thank God I saved up some money for this. I did get 5 fee waivers though so every little bit helped. Plus, my fiance pitched in as well :)
I’m going to be sitting on pins and needles for the next two months, so this is going to be mind numbing. I’m a pretty big splitter (average on the LSAT, way above average on the GPA) so I tried to go for schools that weigh a little bit heavily on GPA. I applied to a fair number of safeties, targets, and about three or four reaches so I feel well-rounded. I’m bummed I couldn’t apply earlier but I really wanted to have my December LSAT in hand. I’m glad I did because I improved by 6 points and I ended up changing my school list pretty drastically.
I feel pretty good about this cycle so I hope to have at least a couple of choices when the dings/acceptances start to whittle away. My resume is strong and my personal statement is decent (I ended up changing it pretty drastically after I had send it to 6 schools so it’ll be interesting to see what happens with that.) I just hope I didn’t make some fatal spelling or grammatical error. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers. It’s going to be a long two months.
Now it’s time to file for financial aid and get the ball rolling on my wedding. I need a vacation.
